                               RESOLUTION NO. 20770
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                  NEGOTIATE WITH THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE OF
                  HAMILTON COUNTY RELATIVE TO THE CREATION OF A
                  NON-PROFIT CORPORATION TO REPRESENT THE
                  INTERESTS OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA AND
                  HAMILTON COUNTY IN THE COMMERCIAL
                  REDEVELOPMENT OF THE VOLUNTEER ARMY AMMUNITION
                  PLANT PROPERTY, SAID PROPOSAL FOR COOPERATIVE
                  REDEVELOPMENT TO BE PRESENTED TO CITY COUNCIL
                  FOR APPROVAL BEFORE EXECUTION.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to negotiate with the County Executive of Hamilton County 
relative
       to the creation of a non-profit corporation to represent the
       interests of the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County in the
       commercial redevelopment of the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant
       property, said proposal for cooperative redevelopment to be
       presented to City Council for approval before execution.
